BMX visualisation by CLEVER°FRANKE

View caseAgency

CLEVER°FRANKE created the first ever live data visualisation of the National BMX Freestyle Park Championships. In order to attract more people to this thrilling urban sport, by giving the audience a fantastic view, from all angles, and of all aspects.

The Royal Dutch Cycling Federation (KNWU) wanted to raise the professional profile of the BMX Freestyle sport. Clever°Franke’s data visualisation made it easier for the judges to analyse the riders’ performances, for riders to better understand their own performance, and audiences to experience the sport in a more engaging way.

Great design: it gives the audience a fantastic view, from all angles, of all aspects of this sport.

Results

  • 907,000 data points captured
  • 35 unique rides tracked
  • FWA of the Day
  • Dutch Design Award (Service & Systems category)
  • Red Dot Award (Brands & Communication Design)
  • Audience > one million people.
