Ask Phill & Analogue Agency by

Analogue Agency 4

Analogue Agency is a Dutch design studio that focuses on contemporary concepts and crafting meaningful experiences. Collaborating with today's top brands and visionaries, they help shape cultural trends. Pushing boundaries and leaving a mark. Their portfolio includes tech, fashion, educational institutions and more. Attracting leaders in art, architecture, fashion, sustainability and technology. Here we would like to showcase and share their immersive digital work for Ask Phill - a Dutch e-commerce agency, and their own website. Both created with Framer - a no code web builder tool.

Why does Analogue Agency's work look the way it does?

From the outset, their design choices are driven by a commitment to minimalism and functionality. Envisioning a website that is clean, intuitive and visually striking - with a focus on a seamless user experience. The monochromatic palette and subtle animations create an elegant, understated aesthetic that allows Ask Phill's and Analogue Agency's work to take centre stage.

These portfolio websites stand out by emphasising interaction and storytelling. Each project is presented as a narrative, highlighting the process and thought behind the design. This immersive approach allows visitors to engage deeply with the work - appreciating the value both agencies bring to each project.

Ask Phill - about the website

The brief for the Ask Phill website was to create a digital presence that reflects the agency's bold and innovative spirit. Showcasing not only their portfolio, but also communicating Ask Phill's expertise in e-commerce and their ability to create engaging, memorable online shopping experiences. The client wanted a design that stands out - with a fun and energetic vibe - and a strong emphasis on their digital-native identity.

Resulting in a look and feel that was developed by Ask Phill itself, and a confident typographic approach with a modular design system that lends clarity to the brand.

We aimed for an identity that evokes a sense of modernity and playfulness. Through the choice of fonts, colours and design elements, we sought to convey professionalism and reliability, but a commitment to innovation and digital-first approaches.

Ask Phill - our curators were impressed by the bold use of typography

The bold use of typography on the Ask Phill website is central to its design. The rationale behind this choice was to create a strong visual impact and communicate the agency's confident and innovative approach.

Large, oversized text elements draw attention to key messages and project highlights - ensuring that visitors immediately grasp the essence of Ask Phill's work.

The typography is designed to be both functional and expressive - guiding users through the site while also adding a layer of visual excitement. This approach aligns with the overall goal of creating a fun, engaging user experience that reflects the agency’s dynamic personality.

Super bold in its visual style and animation. Love how crafted it feels and how much energy the transitions contain.

About Framer - a no code website building tool

Framer has revolutionised Analogue Agency's workflow. It is a powerful tool that integrates design, prototyping and development - allowing to quickly iterate on ideas, test interactions, and bring concepts to life.

Its ability to incorporate custom code gives Analoge the flexibility to push creative boundaries and deliver highly interactive designs. All of their designers can, or are learning to, work with Framer.

No-and low-code tools like Framer have profoundly influenced Analogue Agency's design and development process. These tools enable rapid prototyping and iterative testing. Allowing them to refine ideas efficiently. Lowering the barrier to experimentation, and empowering their designers to explore more creative solutions without being constrained by technical limitations.

Analogue Agency foresees a future for no and low-code tools, as they make the design and development process more accessible to everyone - leading to more diverse and creative digital solutions as more people can bring their ideas to the table.

At Analogue Agency, these tools will continue to be pivotal in their workflow - enabling them to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge designs swiftly.

The experience is neat, and it's cool to see such a site built in Framer. The Apple UI aesthetics on the work page, with its rounded corners, look great and sophisticated.
