The world around us is digitising at an ever increasing speed. The corona crisis has only accelerated this process. Digitisation is enabling people to connect, via screens and smart devices. But how do we cope with intimacy and affection in a digitised world? How can digital design help us organise this digitised world, without losing our human touch?
These questions are at the heart of the Dutch Digital Design Experience - part of the DDW virtual exhibitions - at this year’s virtual Dutch Design Week. Here you can have a look at a selection of Dutch digital projects that do exactly that: bringing people together, without losing sight of humanity.
Dutch Digital Design also takes part in this year’s DDW Talks – just like last year. On Friday, 23 October, from 17:00 – 18:00, four prominent speakers from the digital design world will take part in our discussion: Harald Dunnink (Momkai), Michiel Knoppert (Dell), Luna Maurer (Studio Moniker) and Jeroen van Eijk (Handmade). This year’s theme: how digital design helps shape realities of the future. About the contribution of digital design to different projects and/or aspects of life that (will) make a genuine difference to our future.
